Course Description: The Night Vision Fundamentals course is designed to introduce the technical and physical skills best suited for the use of night vision devices in low/no light conditions.  The NVF course is not a traditional shooting course; instead it is focused on developing a foundational understanding of the proper employment of force multiplication through applied technological advantages. During this course, attendees will be introduced to the concepts and principles associated with effective use of night vision and night vision devices against threats; weapon manipulation under NV and techniques designed to maximize the inherent advantages of NV use.

Since night vision devices can be cost prohibitive, we will provide equipment for hands-on familiarization use during the course. IR lasers, helmets, IR flashlights and Night Vision Goggles will be discussed and are provided during familiarization hands-on & live-fire training.

Instruction covered in this course includes:

· Introduction to Night Vision

· Weapon and movement safety in low light

· Understanding darkness

· Equipment Configuration

· Movement and Navigation

· Marksmanship and weapon use

· Threat confrontation

· Transitions from NV to white light

· Hands-on practical familiarization

*Students are encouraged to bring their personal NV equipment for use, if applicable.
